If you dreamed about the perfect place for the Halloween party, this year you can be there: on Dracula’s Land in Transylvania. What could be more special than a themed party, full of mystery in the perfect decor located in the heart of the town where Dracula was born.
The Halloween, celebrated today in many occidental countries, it’s one of the oldest tradition, preserved and improved, by many generations during thousands of years.
The holiday we love and celebrate every year on the last night of October, it was known in ancient times as the Celtic festival of Samhain, studies are showing that the world was written initially as: Samuin and the meaning was the end of the summer. During the Roman Empire the same holiday it was known as Charity Day. Today the Halloween also known as All Saints Day, is celebrated on 1st November, especially in the countries with Western Christianity – Catholics and Protestants, because this cults has one day for all the saints.
In Romania, every year on 31st October, Halloween is celebrated especially in Transylvania, also known as Dracula’s Land. Different cities related to Dracula’s life are full with foreign visitors ready for a unique experience in the scariest night of the year. Most of the parties have as the main theme: Count Dracula or Vampire Dracula. In medieval cities as Sighisoara, the story comes to life, charming every participant.
Our special tour starts from Cluj- Napoca. We are heading to Sighisoara, our destination, a city where Vlad the Impaler was born. The city of Sighisoara is one of the best preserved medieval cities from Transylvania. Taking a short walk in the citadel, which is part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1999, will take you to the fairy-tail land with prince and princesses, but also dark characters such as vampires, werewolves and ghosts.
All the characters will be ready to meet you personally during the party that is waiting for you, a Halloween themed party with dark surprises and a special Romanian Folk Show.
After a hunted night, we will rest until noon, than we are heading back to Cluj –Napoca .
On our way back to the capital of Transylvania we will stop in Turda, for a special dinner at Hunter Prince Restaurant.
Even if it was a short trip, we are convinced it was an unforgettable one, and for next year you can join our programs for other cities also.
