With “Amazing Tour of Romania in 13 Days” you’ll discover Romania in a unique tour that captures all the beauties this country has to offer, traveling across the nicest regions and cities. Although a small country, Romania turns out to be a great destination for tourists, with plenty of things to see and places to visit.
The tour will start in the capital city of Bucharest, once called “Little Paris” thanks to its somewhat resemblance to Paris. In the historical center, we will visit the second largest administrative building in the world that is the Palace of the Parliament or the People’s House. The Village Museum in the Herastrau Park will be also on our itinerary for the day.
Leaving behind the bustle of the capital, we will arrive in the heart of Transylvania, in Sinaia. King Carol I built his summer residence here, the Peles Castle, a precious architectural jewel. After visiting the castle, we will find our way to another amazing city, Brasov. One of the most visited cities in Romania, it offers some great attractions for tourists such as the Black Church, the White Tower, Rope street and the Council Square.
We can’t continue this amazing tour without visiting Sighisoara, one of the most well-preserved medieval towns in Europe. With a Citadel included in UNESCO’s World Heritage list, the tourists can explore it, learn about its history and other significant monuments: the Clock Tower or the Monastery Church.
The next city we will visit in our itinerary is Sibiu, with a little stop in the Biertan Saxon village to see the UNESCO’s included church. In Sibiu, the travelers will get the chance to take a walk in the Large Square and Little Square and see the Bridge of Lies. The other major attraction to see will be the Astra Museum – a traditional folk civilization museum and if the time allows, the Brukenthal National Museum.
The amazing tour of Romania will make a stop in the beautiful Maramures region, with a visit to the Turda Salt Mine, a real underground mining museum. The next destination will be the Mara village where we will have the opportunity to taste the local drink called horinca.
Of course the itinerary will not miss the wooden churches and monasteries of Maramures or the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta – famous for the colored painted tombstones that describe the lives of the deceased. The last thing to do in Maramures will be to take the 100 years old steam train named Mocanita to explore the Vaser Valley. The tourists will be left with some amazing pictures of the breathtaking landscapes.
The last but not least region we will visit in this incredible tour is Bucovina the land of painted monasteries. Arriving in Gura Humorului, we will discover some of the most precious painted churches in the area such as Voronet Monastery and Humor Monastery.
Discover the true beauties Romania has to offer in an incredible tour travel that takes you in the most important places and cities across the country, without missing the main attractions.
