A great trip is going to start with the largest fortress in Romania, a gorgeous citadel named Alba Carolina, built in the 18th century, being considered the best preserved fortress and most representative baroque structure.

Corvin Castle is the next attraction that will amaze you and take you to another world, a world that will make you feel special. It is built in a Renaissance Gothic style and constructed over the site of an older fortification. The castle has a unique architecture and has numerous towers, an interesting thing about one of them is that it was used as prison. A legend says that in this prison was kept Vlad the Impaler.

It’s time to continue our journey to an emblematic region situated in the south-west part of Romania. You will have the chance to see the treasures of the Danube River during a boat trip. The Danube River is the second largest river in Europa, the first place is taken by Volga River. The boilers or the Gorges are named Large Boilers and Small Boilers, and are the unique attractions of this area. The view is truly amazing, and there are still remembered the stories of the travelers who presented the boilers as a frightful space, where ships passed with difficulty, facing the anger of the Danube River.

Being part of this fairy-tail landscape it’s an unforgettable moment in life. The green forests and the shades of grey color from the high rocky hills are a great combination. Everything being surrounded by parks and natural reserves, with plant varieties and numerous types of birds that are unique in the world, makes this place even more interesting.

Romania has a variety of traditions that are still alive, that’s why we are heading to Horezu, a town from Valcea county, well known for its pottery. Here you can find the most refined and stylish potteries in Europe. The local artists are still using many traditional tools. You can experience a great technique and see how life was in the Neolithic times.

We continue to Curtea de Arges Monastery, and the beautiful cathedral located inside, popular for the beautiful structure and architecture. From the XIX century here you can see the tomb of the Romanian royal family.

After this unique experience, we continue to one of the most beautiful road trip on the well- known Transfagarasan, through the Fagaras Mountains, at an altitude of 2042 m. You will see amazing landscapes and the beautiful Balea glacial Lake.

We are heading to Sibiu, an important cultural center of Romania, where we will visit the city center with the three main squares and Evangelical Church and climb the Council Tower to see a panoramic view of the city.

On the last day you will be surprised by a beauty of Turda Salt mine, located 30 km from Cluj Napoca, one of the main tourist attractions in this area. Here you will discover how people were working many years ago to obtain salt.

It is a great journey where you can improve your cultural knowledge and see the real beauty of Romania.
