Discover Romania in the magic Land of Beeches, where the traditional and religious life mixes with the breathtaking scenery and mountainous landscape. We will start our tour from Cluj-Napoca, finding our way to Bucovina, to see some of the most beautiful painted monasteries in East Europe. Many of these churches are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The first stop will be at Moldovita Monastery, a remarkable legacy of faith and one of the oldest in the region. Erected by Stephen the Great, it represents a combination of Gothic and Byzantine architecture, with some of the most fascinating outside paintings executed in fresco.

We cannot miss Voronet Monastery, also called the Sistine Chapel of the East. Thousands of tourists come every year to see this beauty, painted in a special shade of blue, called blue of Voronet. Also founded by Stephen the Great, ruler of Moldavia, serves as testimony of the religious life people led.

As we continue this cultural tour travel in the heart of Bucovina, we will visit Humor Monastery and Sucevița Monastery, also famous churches that combine Gothic and Byzantine styles. The next major attraction in our itinerary is Putna Monastery, the most significant cultural and religious place of worship of the region. The tomb of its founder, Stephen the Great, lies here and the monastery keeps the religious history of the place.

Traveling through this wonderful peaceful land, you will forget about this hectic crowded world we live in and enjoy the beauties the northern part of Romania has to offer. Discover Dragomirna Monastery, another unique construction built for the believers of the region. The tourists will also get the chance to see Rasca Monastery, a princely foundation built by Petru Rares. The monastery represents another important historical monument of Moldavia.

This amazing tour of the painted monasteries in Bucovina will find its end with a trip to Bicaz Lake, one of the prettiest lakes in Romania. We will also visit the Bicaz Gorge that was formed by the river with the same name, and connects Transylvania to Moldavia. A little escape to get the most of the surrounding nature, fresh air and tranquility of the place.

Finally, we will arrive to Cluj-Napoca with a heart full of joy and unique memories.
